As you can probably tell, this is not the first time I apply for a position at Lego, and there’s a reason for that.

Working for Lego is one of those life goals people talk about - not just because of all the hype surrounding how good a company it is to work for, but it just looks like so much fun!

I’m really genuinely an easy going guy with a good sense of humor who doesn’t really panic under pressure, and I would love the opportunity to show what I’m capable of.

proven experience either in a digital marketing or campaign role

12 years, in all areas of digital marketing and ecommerce, from owning and developing the strategy to creating, managing and optimising paid media campaigns, from wireframes to AB testing, from seo to CRO, and everything else in between.

Solid understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and of customer behaviour economics, metrics

I’m fully certified in Google Analytics and Google ads, and also apple ads, bing, tik tok… I have spent the last 8 months knee deep in the changes ai is bringing to technology in general, and also to the future of search specifically.

I also know how to look at complex sets of user data to extract actionable insights and formulate cases for testing.

Consistent track record of programme (portfolio) management with the ability to move between strategic discussions and operational details

as mentioned above, I’m not just a thinker, I’m also a doer, and I have done it both at one-off projects level and multiple concurrent projects, from multi-country ad campaigns to large restructuring, redesigns and replatforms of sites, all the while still running the BAU of ecommerce, managing teams and reporting to stakeholders.

Excellent partner leadership skills

I am a joy to work with. in my last role I managed a digital team of 10 amazing superstars out of casablanca, morocco, which I coached to greatness both remotely and in person. and I also led global initiatives supporting local marketing heads in several countries, at times going to their offices and sitting at their desks with them to fix their issues.

Experience in delivering innovative experiences in consumer digital products or services with strong consumer brands

a good case study would be sofa.com’s project to allow users to redeem their showroom quotes online, or eaglemoss’ test functionality to introduce 3d models of our spaceships so people could rotate them to see details in all angles. sure, everyone is got that now but we were doing that 4 years ago. I can talk more about them in my interview. come on, i can’t give you everything now…

Understanding of digital development processes

I bring a very strong mix of ‘how it was’ and ‘how it’s going to be’ when it comes to web/digital dev - enough tech savvyness to know what works and how much it will cost, enough commercial acumen to know what should be done from a resources/rewards point of view. and i have managed digital development agencies very closely.

Understanding of product and growth marketing

Having worked at businesses with 100k+ SKUs, I know a thing or two about product marketing and merchandising. And growth marketing has been my bread and butter for the past 12 years.

Understanding of content creation and optimization

I was doing it before chatgpt told us all it was easy to do. i have worked on content projects for both SEO and CRO purposes, and yes ai makes it easier, but makes it easier for everyone, so people like us have to work harder to not just be good, but to be awesome.
